a merry little Christmas

One summer, I had my kids take a piece of bristol board and make a big list of everything they wanted to do during the summer break.

It was so much fun checking off the list, waking up every day or two and choosing another fun thing to do.

This year, I thought it would be cool to find out what is really important to each of us for making Christmas feel Christmassy, so I made another board and asked them to fill it in.

We're still deciding what we'll write in our squares, so some of them are blank and one has a pizza stain on it because this thing has been living in the middle of our table for a week.

Patrick hasn't written anything yet, so I asked him what makes Christmas happy for him. Boardgames? Rum? Midnight kisses under a snowy sky?

(He hasn't answered me yet, but I live in hope.)
