this is it!

potty training, we are tackling you.
without fear, without diapers.
armed with a dozen pair of underpants
two mattress pads
and a whole lot of hope.

  1. ... I hope it goes well!
Alec is becoming much more "aware" of his needs in the past couple weeks and while I don't plan to do it yet, potty training is definitely a topic in our house this week. I hope when I tackle it, I can do it without fear like you!! :D

    1. thanks friend! we tried a while back to potty train, but sam really wasn't into it! then yesterday, i idly asked if he wanted to put on big boy underpants and he said yes! i wasn't expecting a yes at all ... but we tossed his few remaining diapers and went for it. haha he's so proud of himself everytime i ask if he's dry - it's really cute. he's growing up so fast it hurts!

  2. Good luck! I don't know anything about it, but I hear that using stickers as incentive helps :)

    1. stickers are a win for sure! we made a chart, but even more fun that having stickers on the chart (apparently) is peeling them off the page in the first place! haha :)

    1. i asked sam one day if he wanted to wear big-boy underpants - and he said yes! so we threw out his diapers (kept a pack of pull ups for outings) and told him he needed to put his pee & poo in the potty. the first few hours were CRAZY - i think we went through 9 pairs of underpants in the first evening alone - but every time he started to pee, i would grab him and zoom him off to the bathroom to finish. now he's pretty awesome (it's been a week) - if he has to go at all, he'll go when i put him on the potty (every few hours if he hasn't asked first), and sometimes he even remembers to ask me to take him. today he only had one accident - i'm so proud of him :).
