  3. Ha! I find this so funny, because before we moved here I had never heard "yous" too much but people down here say it ALL the time! (and yes, it bothers me too!)

  4. andrea, if you think the east coast is bad, you should try northern ontario - augh! (on the bright side, not too many people here put that wretched twang in "now-va scow-tia")

  7. LOL! PEI is worse than Nova Scotia (unless it is Cape Breton) and worse than Northern Ontario... I grew up in Northern Ontario, and it is crazy here on PEI in comparison!! haha! I happen to also be married to a guy with one of the worst cases of PEI lingo! haha!

  8. I agree Melissa - when I married and moved to PEI it was like learning a new language. Sad to say that after a few years, my mum would tell me on visits home "OH, you're talking like an Islander". Though I NEVER said "slippy roads". I DETEST bad grammar tho - I find I still correct my kids by times - I can't help myself. Janelle, be thankful its "yous" and not "y'all" like we listened to when we lived in Texas.
I'm just enjoying your blog tonight - haven't checked it in ages. Miss you guys and would love to have cuddles with Sam before he is all grown up!
